ANNUAL DAY REPORT
2025–2026

With immense joy and gratitude, we extend a warm welcome to everyone gathered to celebrate the Annual Day of Ebenezer Marcus Matriculation Higher Secondary School. We sincerely thank our esteemed guests, parents, staff members, and students for their presence and continued support. The academic year 2025–2026 has been a remarkable journey of innovation, dedication, and growth. Through our commitment to academic excellence, holistic development, and student well-being, we have achieved significant milestones that reflect the collective efforts of our management, teachers, parents, and students.

Academic Excellence

Academic achievement remains the cornerstone of our institution. Our students have consistently demonstrated excellence through their hard work, determination, and commitment to learning. We are proud to announce a 100% pass result in the Board Examinations for Classes X, XI, and XII.

Higher Secondary Achievements

• Jenifer Joseph emerged as the school topper with 586/600, securing the highest marks in English, Commerce, and Economics. • Yahkshetha scored 582/600, securing top marks in Commerce, Business Mathematics, Economics, and Accountancy. SSLC Achievements.

SSLC Achievements

• Lakshadiya secured 489/500, achieving the highest marks in English and Mathematics. • Several students earned centums and top scores across various subjects, bringing great pride to the institution.

Teacher Development, PTA & Student Counselling Programmes

Regular Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meetings were conducted to strengthen the partnership between parents and the school, ensuring the academic and personal growth of every student. To enhance teaching methodologies, our faculty members participated in a Phonics Training Workshop conducted by an expert trainer from SIP Academy. Recognizing the importance of career planning, several guidance programmes were organized: • A motivational and career guidance session by renowned education analyst Mr. Jayaprakash Gandhi. • A specialized career orientation programme for Commerce students by Mr. Surya Manoharan, a management consultant. We express our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated teachers whose tireless efforts continue to nurture students with academic excellence and life skills. These achievements were made possible through the constant encouragement and visionary leadership of our Correspondent Mr. J. T. Marcus and Senior Principal Mrs. Vijaya Thiagarajan.

Co-Curricular Activities

Our students actively participated in various competitions and talent examinations, showcasing their intellectual and creative abilities. Notable participations included: • GSI Intellectual Talent Examination • Ascent Competition • Dream Kalam Drawing Competition Students won medals, certificates, and special recognitions in these prestigious events. Many students also participated in programmes organized by the Tamil Literacy Association and were honored with silver coins and medals for their outstanding performances.

School Exhibition 2025

A grand exhibition was conducted from 9th to 13th October 2025 under the theme "Learning in Action." Students displayed innovative projects and models on architecture, ancient civilizations, heritage preservation, and modern concepts, making the event a grand success.

Celebrations and Special Events

Throughout the academic year, the school celebrated numerous national, international, cultural, and religious events including: • Environment Day • Health and Hygiene Day • International Yoga Day • Independence Day • Republic Day • Investiture Ceremony • Father's Day • Pongal Celebration • Fruit Salad Mini Project Day • Children's Day • Founder's Day • Teachers' Day • Christmas Celebration • Annual Sports Day

World Record Achievement – Symphoria

One of the most memorable highlights of the year was "Symphoria," a grand mass drill presentation through which Ebenezer Marcus Matriculation School created a World Record, spreading the powerful messages: "Say No to Drugs" and "Make Peace, Not War."

Food Mela 2026

A vibrant Food Mela was organized on 25th January 2026, bringing together students, parents, and staff in a fun-filled and memorable celebration.

Educational Excursions

Educational tours and field trips provided valuable experiential learning opportunities for students. • 142 final-year students participated in an educational trip to Yercaud. • Classes X and XI visited Sahaya Thottam to experience rural life and agricultural practices. • Students from KG to Class IX enjoyed an educational visit to Vandalur Zoo. KG students also benefited from several edutainment programmes, competitions, and a special orientation programme for parents.

Extra-Curricular Activities

The school's Music and Performing Arts Academy continued to provide professional training in: • Music • Choir • Instrumental Bands • Bharatanatyam Students actively participated in Scouts and Guides, developing leadership qualities, discipline, service-mindedness, and environmental awareness. We proudly celebrate the achievement of 5 Guides and 3 Scouts who received the prestigious Rajya Puraskar (Governor's Award).

Sports Achievements

The Sports Academy provided expert coaching in various disciplines, enabling students to excel at District, State, National, and International levels. Our students secured numerous medals at the Ambattur Zonal Athletic Meet 2025 and other prestigious competitions.

Outstanding Individual Achievements

• Anirudh P (XI-C) excelled in State-Level Cricket, participated in the CSK-TDCA Inter-School Tournament, and secured 3rd place in the TNSC U-16 category. • Pranishasree S (XII-C) won 1st place in the 800 metres event at the State-Level Athletics Meet. • James Jebadurai E (IX-F) participated in the 68th National Shooting Championship in New Delhi and was selected for an International Tournament. • Sai Prithish (IX-C) secured 1st place in State-Level Taekwondo (70 kg category). • Reshwanth R (XI-F) won a Bronze Medal at the National-Level Karate Championship in Karnataka. • Shree Lakshmi G (IX-E) won Gold and Silver Medals in State-Level Taekwondo. • Shravan S G (IX-E) excelled in State-Level Yoga and secured 3rd place in the State-Level Inter-School Karate Championship. • Aadhya S (VII-E) represented India in a World Dance Competition held in Singapore. • Haanya A S (UKG-B) secured multiple victories in State-Level Chess competitions and won 1st place in an inter-school chess tournament.

Science Exhibition Achievement

Our students Nidharshaan S (VII-B) and Yeshwanth J (VII-C) secured Third Place in the Inter-District School-Level Science Exhibition LASER 2025 held at Madras Christian Matriculation Higher Secondary School. They received the award from the Honourable Minister Mr. Meyyappan and further distinguished themselves by winning prizes in the "Veetuku Oru Vignayani" competition conducted by Puthiya Thalaimurai TV. These achievements reflect the spirit of determination, discipline, and excellence that defines our students.

The academic year 2025–2026 has been a remarkable chapter in the history of Ebenezer Marcus Matriculation Higher Secondary School. Every achievement, milestone, and success story stands as a testament to the collective efforts of our management, teachers, parents, and students. As we celebrate our accomplishments, we look forward with confidence and optimism to greater achievements in the years ahead.
